This statement reads in part: In addition to Amalgam Separators, DEQ state regulations require dentists to comply with standing ADA/MDA best practices including:  Collect and recycle mercury and dental amalgam waste to either the contracted separator company or to a US facility that will reclaim or distill the mercury for reuse and use chair-side traps to retain the amalgam and recycle the content. Included in this category is amalgam capsules, amalgam scrap, teeth w/amalgam and any traps that may be in the grey(waste) water stream where amalgam may me introduced. >Provide proof that they comply with the amalgam recycling regulation on an annual basis.  Sub Section (d) of the governing regulation states that dentists must: “store all dental amalgam waste in an enclosed and structurally sound collection container until a sufficient amount has been collected for shipment to a reclamation facility or recycler or at a minimum, recycled annually.†> Proof of compliance is required with license renewal application These collection containers (2 gallon and 5 Gallon) are available from CS Enterprises at substantial discounts from our competitors.
